Direct Response and Infomercial Resource Guide - Direct Information for Direct Response Advertising

What makes a good infomercial product or service?
         - Will my product be cheapened by utilizing Direct Response Advertising?
         - Do I need to have a Non-Disclosure signed?

What makes a good infomercial product?

The top selling infomercial products may seem like they don't have much in common. But when we look more closely at these shows their are several traits that all successful infomercials have.

First, all of these products have mass appeal. They are not nitch products where only a small fraction of the population can benifit from them. Most people can improve their fitness or lose weight, most of us would like to make more money, most of us could use a product that saves time and makes it easier to do our daily tasks (like easier ways to clean things). So, does your product have mass appeal?

Second, successful infomercial products have a unique selling proposition. That is, they provide something which other products currently on the market do not provide. Typically these are time saving or cost saving features designed to make our life easier. You probably already know your products unique selling proposition and we can help you develop your advertising message to make sure the public understands exactly why they need your product.

Will my product be cheapened by using direct response advertising?

We've all seen some pretty bad infomercials. You may be wondering if using DRTV will negtively impact your brand. Well, it certainly doesn't have to. In fact many big brand traditional advertisers are turning to direct response to improve their bottom line. Companies such as KitchenAid, Black and Decker, Bose, Rug Doctor, and many others all tap the power of direct response to sell product. You need to make sure that your production company delivers high quality work with well written scripts designed to both brand and sell your product. Many of our infomercials are shot in high-def and all of them are consious of your corporate image.

Do I need to have a Non-disclosure Agreement signed?

The reality is a reputable agency isn’t going to steal or copy your ideas. With that said, it's always a good idea to make sure that you're protected in writing. If you don't have a NDA just ask us and we'll provide one to you.
